Catholic School Tuition Aid Grant 2015-2016

Eligibility

 

Any student in or entering grades K–8 who is a baptized, practicing Catholic and is registered in a Catholic parish in the Diocese of St. Petersburg is eligible. The student must be registered at, or have submitted an enrollment application to, an (inter) parish or Diocesan Catholic Elementary school in the Diocese of St. Petersburg.

 

Students in grades K-8 may not be a recipient of a Corporate Tax (Step Up For Students) or McKay voucher from the state of Florida. The Catholic School Tuition Aid Grant cannot be combined with these awards.

Step Up For Students Scholarship: The program provides Tax Credit Scholarships to students in K-12 who come from low-income families. These scholarships allow the students to consider a private school or an out-of-district public school that may better suit their individual needs, an option which already is available to families of greater financial means. Step Up For Students Scholarship application season for the 2015-2016 school year will open for new families early February! For information on what will be required to apply for or renew this scholarship please contact the school office, (352) 683-0755.

Eligibility determined through the foundation from a need-based application process and is only available to affiliated students. Mary C. Forbes financial forms and important deadlines are available through the Admissions Office.

McKay Scholarship Program: Florida’s school choice program provides the opportunity for students in grades K-12 with an IEP (Individual Education Plan) the opportunity to attend a participating private school. Application must be made prior to withdrawal from a public school. The amount of the scholarship is based on the student’s IEP. Information can be found at www.floridaschoolchoice.org
